Featured Speaker: Steve May, Saxonburg Borough Manager

Steve spoke about the "Main Street Matters" Grant. This is a façade grant which can provide up to $100k for a 50/50 match!

Main Street has to be "in on it" TOGETHER. Grant organization would like for the bulk of the work to total $1M.

  • Action Item - Committee: Requires formation of Committee.

  • Timeline - Aiming to Submit by June 2027, Announced in November

There are other grants that are more like 80/20 cost coverage, which the Borough believes are not as worthwhile to pursue.

Question arose regarding evaluating lender options. There are government loans available; Steve would not recommend that option.

It was requested that Steve provide a tear sheet with the most important info and actionable items. We will share that as soon as we have it!
